Transformative Communication 1 is an intensive, experiential seminar for people who want to communicate, relate and act with greater awareness, courage and purpose. Rather than treating communication as a set of techniques alone, the seminar uses communication and relationships as pathways to self-discovery, personal growth and meaningful action.

Across four days, participants engage in guided presentations, reflective exercises, small-group processes, activities and practical application. The seminar combines courageous introspection with communication, relationship, conflict-resolution, team-building and life skills.

Within a supportive group environment, participants can explore habitual patterns, listen more deeply, express themselves more honestly, strengthen trust and cooperation, and translate personal insight into concrete steps in everyday life.

Ben Bharat Berwing is the founder of the School of Simple Living and the Servant Leader Institute. He has been practicing and facilitating Transformative Communication since completing Satvatove Transformative Communication and Group Facilitator training. His work brings together communication, inner development and practical leadership practice across two educational brands.

He has given a TEDx talk and facilitated seminars, workshops and group processes in multiple languages across Europe. This Porto seminar is offered through both the School of Simple Living (for personal and relational practice) and the Servant Leader Institute (for professional and leadership contexts).

Is Transformative Communication 1 Porto the same as the virtual Transformative Communication 1 Virtual programme?

No. Transformative Communication 1 — Porto is a standalone four-day in-person seminar. The virtual Transformative Communication 1 programme (Transformative Communication 1 Virtualoundational — Part 2 (1–2 August 2026) are separate online courses. Porto is not a continuation of the online courses; it is an independent in-person event.

Do I need to have attended Part 1 or Part 2 online first?

No prior Transformative Communication training is required. The Porto seminar is open to first-time participants as well as those who have attended the online courses.

Is accommodation included?

No. Only one vegetarian meal per seminar day is included. Light snacks will also be provided on all four days. Accommodation, breakfast, dinner and drinks are not included unless separately confirmed.

How is the price tier determined?

The price tier is determined automatically from the date and time your registration is submitted, using the Europe/Lisbon timezone. Super Early Bird (€349) is available through 31 July 2026. Early Bird (€399) applies from 1 August through 31 August 2026. Regular (€499) applies from 1 September 2026.

When is my place confirmed?

Your place is reserved once your registration is received. It is confirmed after payment has been received — or, for supported-place requests, after written approval. You will receive a confirmation email with payment details.

I am unable to pay the full price. Can I still attend?

Up to three supported places are available for people in monastic or comparable service-oriented circumstances, or with very limited financial means. Check the supported-place option in the registration form. You will not be asked to pay immediately; your request will be reviewed and you will be contacted individually.

What language is the seminar conducted in?

English. The seminar is not translated.
